Background: Patient-centred care focuses on a better understanding of the patient. In this effort, learning about the patient's expectations regarding clinical outcomes and their fulfilment after surgery is necessary. Based on a systematic review, our team has identified the validated and standardized questionnaires assessing patients' expectations before surgery to choose a survey for linguistic and cultural adaption. According to our review, the most common questionnaire is The Hospital for Special Surgery Knee Replacement Expectations Survey.

Goals and results: The poster presents the questionnaire – The Hospital for Special Surgery Knee Replacement Expectations Survey – to assess the patient's pre-op clinical outcome expectation and post-op result in fulfilling the expectation in advance.
The poster shows the survey, clinical and social relevance, long-term application options in orthopaedic practice, advantages, and barriers and shares the first experiences of Hungarian linguistic adaptation and, on the other hand, validation processes and summarizes the results of the validation in other foreign languages.
