Aims:
In this study, we elaborated on the efficacy of Endo laryngeal use of Coblation as a treatment for glottic and trans-glottic lesions.
Methods:
A case series study enrolled patients with mild and moderate stage laryngeal cancer (T1a, b T2a, b T 3a). All patients had Coblation laryngeal procedure at the university hospital.
Results:
Patients with a glottic pathology attended the clinic ,mostly 20% of the patients had T3 glottic lesions. Most of the patients had squamous cell carcinoma as the main pathological finding. The main outcome was the recurrence rate after the operation , 90 % of the patients had no recurrence after one year.
Conclusion:
Coblation assisted laryngeal procedures is an effective and safe treatment for mild and early moderate glottic cancer.
